Louisville Chorus

Kentucky’s longest continuously performing chorus.

The Louisville Chorus is Kentucky’s longest continuously performing choral organization, singing in Louisville since 1939. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by Artistic Director Dr. David Borman and Executive Director Jenna Preston, with Zachariah Preston as Assistant Artistic Director and Owen Sammons as pianist and organist.

The 2026-27 season, the eighty-seventh, is called In Every Tongue. It runs from a fall opener through a summer finale at venues across Louisville, Kentucky and southern Indiana, moving between sacred and secular, classical and popular. Several concerts have free admission, and the Everywhere We Go access initiative keeps much of the season open to the community with pay-what-you-can and free performances.

The chorus also carries a chamber ensemble, the Fleur de Lis Singers, founded by Dr. David Borman and Jenna Preston. The Singers appear on nearly all regular season concerts and perform on their own at festivals, ceremonies, corporate events, weddings, senior communities, and private gatherings across the region. Engagements start at $1,000; the full chorus of roughly sixty voices starts at $4,000.

Singers of every background are welcome to audition, on Tuesday evenings throughout the season. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings, 7 to 9 PM. Businesses can sponsor the season from $1,000 through an exclusive $20,000 Season Presenter level, and individual giving runs from the $100 Chorister level through the $5,000 1939 Circle.
